Youth Squads Winter Registration: Apr – Aug 2017
Registrations have been open for the Green Fleet, Optimist Race and Laser Race Training Squads, for the 2017 winter training program (Term 2 and Term 3). This is a new block of training, therefore, even if you have previously registered for the Summer program, you will need to re-register for the Winter period as well.

Laser, Optimist and Green Fleet: Sunday Training 30 April

Laser, Optimist and Green Fleet sailors are reminded that your Winter Sunday training sessions are conducted in the morning throughout Term 2 and Term 3, with sessions running for 3 hours from 08.30am-12.00pm. Sailors are requested to arrive at the Club earlier than scheduled to allow for enough time to be dressed, rigged and ready for the Coaches briefing at 8.45am.

First Race Day
Optimist and Laser Race Squad: Sunday Racing 28 May
Optimist and Laser Race Squad sailors are reminded that Sunday 28th May will be the first round of the RSYS Winter Dinghy Racing Series (the Frostbite Championship). Please note, a race briefing will be conducted at 08.30am, with racing to commence on the water at 09.25am. Sailors are requested to make sure they allow themselves enough time to attend the briefing, to then be dressed, rigged and ready for launching, so as to be at the starting area before racing commences.
As a further reminder to Squad sailors, the Sailing Office requests that you ‘check’ your entry for the Winter Racing Series. Although you may have registered for ‘winter training’, a separate entry is also required for the Club’s Winter Racing Series. Please refer to ‘Appendix A 2.3’ of the Winter Notice of Race.
